We aim to improve the sustainability of our tourism and recreation facility. Some examples of our initiatives are:
- we generate most of our electricity from wind (about 75%) and solar (15%). The remainder (10%) is generated from a diesel. During November 2005 we doubled our solar generation capacity and battery storage.
- we provide our own water.
- we have planted over 300 native trees and shrubs.
- where possible, we use local supplies and local staff.
